An insight

I’m very conscious that 99.99% of the world, really couldn’t care less where I’ve been and what I saw there. In fact, 99.99% of the views on this will undoubtably be my mother trying to work out where I am at any given time.

With this in mind, any content here is posted purely for my own amusement, records, and occasional therapy. Years of accumulating pictures and travels, and they never make it out of my a folder on my hard-drive, which doesn’t do the places or people in them any justice. This seemed the best way to bring them to life, and ensure they aren’t consigned to oblivion when my laptop breaks or goes AWOL. If some average photos, and observational ramblings, prove of interest or amusement to anyone else beside myself and my parents, I’ll just be very happy that there has been an unintended, but satisfying byproduct.

All photos here (beside those in which I feature) are my own. I tried to use Photoshop once, but lost interest even trying to import a photo, let alone do anything to it. At this point I realised the magic of photography was, for me, in the moment of taking the photo, nothing more.

I’m a sucker for a good sunset. I’d probably like sunrises as well if I was capable of ever getting up in time to see one.

Thanks to all the people I’ve met along the way; I’ve learnt something from all of you, good and bad, but I don’t doubt it has all made me a better person.

Keep us all up to date with some sunset photographs from your next location, your mental journeys and ‘different’ modes of transport.
Keep safe and we’ll catch up soon.

Two friends, 13 years (can it be that long?!) and some serious life envy on my behalf….! So jealous of all you are seeing and doing. Be safe and hope you are getting everything out of all your travels that you wished for. All the Hammonds send their love and Angus says “hello mate!” Currently in Greece lazing by the pool but off on a speed boat today, not anywhere near as adventurous as your travels but at least it’s a start! Lots of love and make sure you come home at some stage!! Your old pal Xxxx
